My wife dropped off our car yesterday at the bodyshop for some insurance repairs. When she dropped the car off, the girl that took the car in was trying to be helpful by helping my wife remove any valuables from the car. I come home to find the faceplate for the head unit sitting on the kitchen counter. Apprently, in the process she ripped the faceplate off, which is fine by me if the faceplate was supposed to be removable. As far as know, it's just a flip-down face to access the CD slot. The head unit came with the car when we bought it so I'm not sure if it's supposed to be removed - is this normal? I'd try and google the specs on it, but I'm at work (trying to kill time) and don't have the model number handy. It's a Kenwood head unit if that makes any difference.

Sometimes you can make removeable faceplants nonremovable. I did that I did that with mine since I don't ever take the faceplate off.
