Cheapskates. There is a $1000 sushi roll (which looks disgusting) in Vegas, and that article even mentions that $25 000 Ice cream sundae in NY too

Both are bargains compared to the burger at Fleur de Lys at Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas. The Kobe burger, stuffed with foie gras and black truffles and served on a brioche truffle bun, will set you back $5,000. But, as a bonus, the price includes a bottle of Chateau Petrus 1995.

It's going to charity. Even though the price is ridiculous, think of it as you're getting a free burger with ever $200 donation!

If they have service like the Burger Kings here in town have gone lately, you'd be better served just setting your 2 bills on fire. You'd still be out that much money and not get what you ordered.
