Clubbing

I know I know this has posted so many times but please bare with me.

I have some cousins over from the UK and they've been dying to go out to some calgary clubs. What they like is Hip-Hop music and such. Pretty much any place with Top 40 thats real live.

Now with the calgary stampede going on and I'm assuming most places would play country, whats a really nice live night spot to check out? Were going out Friday/Saturday, are they're any special events going out, or any other clubs that are good on these days during the stampede.

if you like really good hip hop check out amsterdam rhino, DJ Disoriental usually plays on saturdays there but i havent been for a little while he is AMAZING

or try whiskey, long shot during stampede.. but they usually play top 40 bs stuff

Well saying he Hip-Hop but basically Top 40 kinda goes against each other. I would hardly call any Top 40 song these days Hip-Hop.

None the less I will stop being a stubborn prick. Amsterdam Rhino on Saturday nights. You can get in wearing a hoodie and skate shoes or what not, and they play old skool hip-hop and funk. It ain't Top 40, but its a lot fucking better.

+1, ill with the funk n' such, and I know he sometimes plays Marquis Room on Friday in the uptown theatre with another DJ who I don't remember. The duo's called 'Hot Pursuit.'

as mentioned, hip hop and top 40 are totally different.

Hip Hop- Amsterdamn Rhino or maybe Hi-Fi

Hip Hop- Road House, Whiskey (better chance getting into road house)
