Subaru Impreza 2.5i, Mitsubishi Lancer GTS, or a loaded Mazda3. I test drove both the Lancer and the 3 today and they both were great. Still need to test drive the Subaru. Right now I'm swaying towards the Lancer because of the warranty. What do you think?

search up mazda and you'll find the regrets people have after buying them. If you wana keep your cars for longer run

Lancer= Massive warranty:thumbsup:

Your on the right track with the Subaru Impreza and Mistubishi Lancer you should just toss that whole Mazda 3 idea out the window.

If you plan on driving the car forever and never switching cars, then go with the Lancer since of its awesome warranty...

I would stay away from the Mazda 3 because it's really starting to look dated. The body style is due for a refresh.

I drive a 2007 Mazda 3 and while I love it, it is a very common car, so you won't stand out in a crowd, if that's your thing.

AWD.

Impreza is the easy choice. Great car.

Lancer GTS with the 2.4L MIVEC engine is pretty stout and looks by far the best of the three IMO.

+1 but im biased... but soley on the fact of AWD i would take the impreza over the lancer any day of the week. After AWD I'll never drive anything else again.

I picked up my subaru that HUGE dumping of snow we had that weekend in march or april and the guy i bought the car off of was kind enough to leave the kw-19's on... i'll never use anything else but AWD :D

RWD is still better.;) In fact I'll take a FWD with winter tires over an AWD with all seasons for winter driving but AWD with winter tires is as good as it gets.

Yeah, it's being recycled as an impreza.

haha oh i wont argue rwd is the best for performance, but for daily driver AWD is the way to go, of course as you said w/ a set of winters and summers.

Both cars are awesome!

Personally i say the Lancer. Looks really good, and you can't beat the warranty.

Were you thinking of an 07 impreza, or the 08?

I'd definitely take the impreza. AWD ftw. Even if you don't have snow, AWD still handles better than front wheel drive. Also, when i first saw the new impreza, i hated it but its grown on me. Personally, i sorta like it now.

I know. I was looking at the Rabbit, but unless VW has been making more quality products lately, I'm avoiding them. My mom had a 2000 Jetta that was always in need of some type of service

The new Impreza's including the WRX handle like boats. Easily the worst handling car of the three.

I think VW has 0% up to 72 months In US right now. And current Rabbit is way way more reliable than the previous generation. Also it's made in Germany if that matters to you, not Mexico. The only thing is the fuel consuption is higher. I'd say on par with the impreza maybe a bit higher.

I personaly drove both the Mazda3 and the Lancer
I think the Lancer didn't have much power at low RPM's whitch makes it feel slow
Sure you can keep the Rev's High but that isn't too good for fuel
I really like the Mazda3 and I almost got one.
I say go for the Mazda3 or Subaru

Sorry I've never tried the new impreza. The 2006 one handled great IMO. That was more of a general statement. In general, AWD>FWD, but i guess there are always exceptions.
