I was talking about this the other day with some people and I wanted to hear from those of you that live in the area.

For those of you that live in the Arriva building, what's it like on weekends? I can only guess that the noise from Coyotes/Cowboys can be a little crazy, plus the drunkards when closing time comes around.

And for the Vetro/Sasso people, what's it been like the last 10 days being right across the street from the Stampede?

I rent at the Chocolate and there was plenty of fucktards walking down the street to create some noise. Now the stampede is gone its back to quiet. If you don't know where the Chocolate is, its 3 blocks west of the victoria stampede station

I used to live in the crummy apartment acros the street from Vetro. It's bad for those ten days, yeah, but it has some wicked advantages for the rest of the year. Walking to work FTW!

Dealing with people and noise is one of the trade-offs that people living in urban centres make.

i live at sasso, i still love living there during stampede its ok, we have "increase security".

the building is 18+ and there is alot of yuppies there, and alot of partying, but meh, it never bugs me, the walls are concrete so i dont' hear anything.

stampede isn't as bad as you think living in sasso..

The Arriva building is so nice..... the area kinda sucks right now, but eventually it'll all be developed around it.

My friend lives at Arriva facing Cowboys, it's sound proof enough that bar noise isn't an issue.

Traffic was a nightmare for sure though, they really need a light at that intersection or something.

It was pretty awesome watching the fireworks from his patio. Close enough that you get the full effect, but without being surrounded be drunken sweaty people :D

My friend has a place at Arriva on a higher flower, and the Cowboys noise is not an issue.. they have done a great job on it.. his place faces the bar.

everything you could ever want on Calgary construction! Your specific question would be a little generic on those forums, but its a super cool place to spend a lazy sunday just browsing all the renderings and construction photos they have of everything going on in calgary right now!

for example, one of our members does a rendering of what the citys skyline will look like when this construction boom is over!

heres a few of my favourite

Arriva, Viva & i dunno?

They're all the same developer as Arriva though.
