I'm selling my 4 yr old iBook G4. I bought it in mint condition from a fellow beyond member on here, so I'm the second owner.

Reason why I'm selling is because recently there's been something wrong inside with the charging component. It seems lose or something, so it can be a pain to charge up the battery, especially if you move it around a lot and if the battery's at 0%. There's nothing wrong with the battery or the charger itself, I've tested this out.

I figure if you don't plan of moving it around, and charging the battery up starting at 20%, might be annoying to wiggle around the power connector, but it will charge up.

It's a decent laptop with leopard installed (which i'll throw in for free) It has some rub marks where one would expect, and is wobbly, for some reason. I have dropped it once, but no major damage.

It currently has a 100GB 7200rpm hard drive which I had mymacdealer install for me. I've also upgraded the ram to 1.5GB.

Recap:
iBook G4 1.33Ghz
100GB 7200rpm HDD
1.5 GB ram
1 Fireware Port
2 USB ports
Charger
Leopard disc
Original OS X discs
Battery lasts 3hrs on full charge.
Ok condition.

$300 firm

I also have the original battery if buyer wants it, but I don't take any responsibility if it explodes and burns a hole through your balls. :nut:

I recently got this tip from someone on CL if anybody's interested.

Hey, just thought I'd mention that the issue with the charging is probably the DC Board. The same thing happened to my girlfriend's iBook earlier this year.

I picked up the part from welovemacs.com for $50. It's an easy replacement if you find instructions on how to take apart the whole iBook.

http://welovemacs.com/9226935.html

So you can fix it yourself if you know how to take the iBook apart.

I was actually looking to sell it. What's up with everyone asking for the original osx disks? I've had a lot of people ask for these disks alone.:dunno:

cause i don't like to pirate and sometimes i HAVE to as Apple doesn't sell it and other people won't sell it and the problem of having an OSX upgrade disk and not the whole osx it tends to cause problems.
