Like the title states I'm looking for wheels 17" or bigger for my S2K. I have a few stipulations though:

-Center bore of 70.3mm or bigger
-Low enough offset to clear spoon calipers (Generally +40 or lower)
-Width 8"-9"
-Only looking at Volk or Work wheels (namely CE28N, TE37, Emotion)

I have a set of mint 18x7.5 +50mm Volk Gram Light 57 Pro (gold with polished silver lip) that I can trade. I bought them brand new and have only used them for a couple of seasons. I had intended to use them but they just won't clear my new brake calipers.

huh?

I thought 'OEM > *'

Spoon calipers? Aftermarket wheels?

LOL. I wanted a brake upgrade and had to make some compromises for it to happen.

Nissin manufactures OE brake calipers and there are certain OE wheels made by Rays so I figured the parts would be on par with the OE stuff.

So it should be more like:

quality aftermarket > oem > cheap aftermarket

Hehe. I'd still put it in this order:
oem > quality aftermarket > cheap aftermarket.

Even with quality aftermarket you still have to put up with stuff like brake dust, squeaky pads, modifying heat shields, sizing proper wheels, etc.

Neons4life, are you willing to seperate rims and rubber? The tires are too tall for my application.

ogie, those are nice wheels but their fitment is a bit too aggressive. I'll need new fenders to run those wheels.

I would consider it, dilema being cost to seperate, and if I can sell used tires at what cost.

Can PM me an offer on just the wheels, and go from there

Did you pick up spoon calipers? Contemplating the same upgrade, but I will need spacers for my Volks. If I recall correctly, you need +43 minimum on a 17"x7.5" wheel. My current CE28's are +50... Have you considered running a 10mm spacer?

Correct you need a 10mm spacer for the front

I would rather not run spacers. Regardless of how many people use them for racing applications I'm just not comfortable with them.

It's not just the offset - the spoke design also plays a big part. The following wheels have high offsets but will clear the calipers (without spacers) because of spoke design. Note the BBS wheels in particular.

Prodrive GC07 17x7.5 +44mm offset
Work Emotion Forged 17X7.5 +43mm offset
OEM JDM BBS Wheels 16x6.5 +55mm offset

Neons4life, I looked into it and I think the 9" wheel up front is going to give me some problems. That's a really good price though.

I better clarify. Ideally I'd like 7.5"-8.5" in the front and 8"-8.5"in the rear.

For the front, with correct offset and tire size anything wider than 7.5 you will have to modify your front fenders with a minor roll, also depending on ride height as well, unless of course you use a small spacer

^So if I run 10mm spacers on my 17"x7.5" +50 CE28N, I will need to roll my front fenders, right?

Depending on a few things, ride height, tire size, camber, this all comes into play if you are planning on using a 215 width I see no issues. With a 18x8.5 stretched on a 225 that with a 2 inch drop my friend was still rubbing his fenders(sorry i should say bending lol)
