Just got my car ready for the track.

I am wondering if anyone is holding a track day on the road course at Race city in the near future.

If you have any info, please post here.

Thanks!

I'd also like more information about this. I went to one back in 2004 with Mazda and it was fantastic.

I'd love to go to another one in the future or before the track closes for good

Can't make it on this Friday either, since my boss at work wants me to stay working that day.

But, one of my friends may go tomorrow, if we can get his car running safe for the event.

Anyone knows any track day or night that you can simply drop in?

E-mail from Jay @ Track Techniques...

I have two events coming up in September.

The 1st one will be on Sept 15th from 5 to 9 pm.

This one will be an open lapping evening with instruction. If you have not been to the track for a while and would like a refresher this will be a fantastic opportunity.

We will also have the time to work on more advanced techniques and lines if you missed the advanced school. The cost is $200.00 including GST

The 2nd event is Tuesday September 16th from 5 to 9 pm

This event will be lapping only. Go out and come in when you want. The cost for this one is $170 including GST

If you can make it to one or both of these track night please send me an email with the night or nights you can make it.

This will most likely be my last events of the season.

You need to have experience.

You don't need to have completed his school. But if you have no experience, then you should do his school. ;)

Kind of an old thread, but anyone got some input to that? Would be helpful to know if it includes the bus stop on the back stretch.

the BGPR track nights usually see a range from the low 1:20's to the 1:40's(and some higher) with the bus stop...but that's bikes...

CSCC solo1 laptimes are similar, but without using the bus stop.

1:21 - 1:40's depending on car, tires used and the driver. Fastest lap this season was a 1:20.xxx in a C6 Z06.

Thats fucking retardedly fast. WOW.
The best ever for a 600 sportbike was 1:19, abiet WITH the bus-stop being used. 1:20 for a car is just nuts.

That car was definitely capable of going a few seconds faster. I don't think the driver pushed it hard since the time was achieved on the first solo1 timed event this year.

I wonder if that was the owner of Western Corvette, Lawrence. That guy has a monster corvette road course car.

I'm still boggled that my friend was able to do 5sec faster laps then me, guess all the weight of my car sucks for the corners. Really wanna try some laps with all the electronic nanny's turned off, I'm sure Stability control kicking in is zaping my power right where its needed out of the corners into the straights.
