View Full Version : An interesting question: Ramen

I've been asking around, doing some research, and one thing that I haven't been able to find in Calgary (where we have Russian deli's, Indian curry houses, Chinese/Asian supermarkets and the like) is a place that does real, street level, authentic Japanese ramen, stuff like tonkotsu ramen (yum!)

I know I'm going out on a limb here, but does anyone know where I could get authentic ramen here in Calgary (and I'm not talking that instant-cook stuff that some restaurants try to serve ya... I'm talking in-house made broth, fresh noodles, etc)?

We were just talking about this not too far ago. I think the conclusion was Shijiki, Wa's, then Sobaten (in that order I think).
