Thats too bad, i remember being not so well off as a kid. It was one of the places to get cheap equipment for sports. I wonder what kids/parents are going to do now, especially with the price of everything going up.

Anybody get anything good?

Looking for a beginner set of golf clubs and I went to the one in the NW. Only 7 piece sets left.

There's still lots of stuff there if you're looking to get into any new sports...

went to the one near Sunridge yest...the sales are ok but some of the prices are still pretty high...they said weekly markdowns though so in a few weeks the prices will be better....but then everything will go quick....they had one-piece sticks & shafts for still reg price with just 15% off...so they would still be anywhere from $70-$150

if you wait a bit then you might get better prices...if you're lucky to find something...

They don't do sharpenings anymore... they are only authorized to liquidate inventory. Score More cards are officially useless. No free sharpenings, no discounts, can't even use the rebate amounts you've accumulated.

i used to work at swap too, and i know that they think they are gonna get around 3,000 for a sharpener. me and a couple friends who work there still are gonna try and get at least one for a real good deal if Ken is feeling nice.

and yeah the weekly markdowns will be cool, this thursday the prices will drop again. i hope i can get in at the right time to get s17 stick for the best price.

im gonna miss being able to sharpen my own skates/get free sharpens.

but now i need winter skates.

I went there to buy a 07 Norco Bigfoot, and found that after the discount it was the exact same price that it has been for the past few weeks if not longer! Atleast if I was going to buy it a few weeks ago I would have received $75 worth of free accessories....

thats because you bought an 07 norco, they are already on sale because they are last years bike, if you bought an 08 the savings would have been more noticable.

and just so everyone knows all used is 50% off.

Everything is getting pretty picked through, but I ended up getting a Norco Fluid 4.0 for 50% off.

Do you happen to know how much sticks are off now? When I went they were still only 30%

They were 40% on all wood sticks, shafts and replacement blades and 30% off of one-piece sticks when I went last Tuesday - they probably all went up in discounts last Thursday though

I went and grabbed a stick yesterday. I was told their absolute last day being open at Heritage/Southland, is Aug 31st. It could be earlier.

All hockey equipment is 40% off this week. Every Thursday is the day they markdown prices.
What sticks are you looking for? For high end sticks they had tons of XXXX left but not lots of S17

I saw a sheet of paper on the NE store that said "Final day" yesterday - is it over there?
