My dog was not feeling very good and had a "lamp shade shit" in the back of the integra. In other words he had a fart/shit spray all over the back seat. I have already cleaned all the shit out but the smell is still there, smells like hot sick ass.

so as you can imagine...it smells horrible, and won't go away. Any ideas on what could remove this rancid stench?

Thanks

shampoo where your dog shat, go nuts with febreeze, and give it lots of time to air out

It probably soaked down deep, you need a interior cleaning machine.

Get a pet odour enzyme cleaner. It will break it down and then shampoo the seat.

No easy way to remove pet odours really, but the enzyme cleaners work great. Gotta let it sit for a while though. Petzyme is a brand that I can think of off the top of my head. Can get it at any pet store and probably walmart or similar places.

+1

Might be easier to buy new rear seats...

Maybe try taking the rear seats completely out, which will help you give them a thorough and deep clean/rinse/dry and repeat with some good cleaning product. Getting them out in fresh air might help...

rent out one of those steam cleaners at superstore/safeway/shoppers drug and steam clean your interior. It works wonders on my cars before.

The shit is probably soaked into the foam of the seats. Only way to really clean it is to take the seats apart. Shampooing it at this point will only push the smell further into the foam.

Also, if you take out the rear seats completely you might find if the shit had soaked thru to the bottom of the seat...

I know it's not a normal pet odour, but thats not the only thing it gets rid of... it will work on almost any organic material that is stinky. :)

As your sig suggests...maybe if you wait a while it will be easier to pick out the smell.

Rented a carpet cleaning maching from Home Depot, it worked wonders!! I can't believe how much that thing got out of the seats...
I ended up cleaning the whole car with it haha.

BTW Febreze is amazing as well. The teg is smelling like brand new again!! I even left the windows up all night and checked it this morning before I left for work, the smell is gone...and me and my dog are friends again....for now.

Yeah you're better off buying a teg from a 17yr old punk that bags the shit out of it and has a canadian tire exhaust...instead of a completely un-modded lightly driven, well maintained teg that USED to have shit in the back seat.

I thought only a person who is 17 called their Integra a teg:dunno:

Yup that's the only thing that will work as it breaks down the bacteria and removes the smell. You may have to do it a few times and let it soak in.

Go to the junk yard and grab a rear seat for 20 bucks. All that shit is all saturated into the foam by now. Its a lost cause..just get a new seat.

Buy type-r suede seats for front & back.

Guaranteed to remove the smell, and girls love to have sex in them.
