HELP! my friend is turning into a ricer!

Recently a friend of mine has had aspiriations of getting a DSM and "tricking it out" with altezza tail lights, neon underglow, lambo doors, riduclious bodkits... the works... He got offended when I tried to steer him in the right direction and made claims such as me not knowning what I am talking about. :dunno:

Who else has lost friends to the ricers?

Ever even heard of VTech? If you did, you'd know that altezza lights are needed to avoid blowing out your tail lights from going so fast.

But careful with the DSMs though, the intake manifolds are known for blowing out the floor boards.

Just tell him to buy a JDM. Most of them already come with a shitload of ricer parts and he'll probably go broke overnighting parts from Japan just to keeping it on the road before he has a chance to buy more.

Don't buy some easy JDM like an Impreza or Civic or something either. JDM FD RX7 would be perfect sinc ehe'll never get it 2 blocks from his house before something lets go. Vin diesel > Paul Walker.

Some because they can't dish out the dough for quality parts, others because they actually like the part.
But lately, they are getting less common.. I'm starting to see some nice cars out now.

Tell him to stop by any dsm board and ask about his ideas.. With the exception of the doors (a few people don't mind them) the rest of that crap will get him laughed at HARD.. dsm'ers hate seeing someone rice them out.
