Blu-ray drive as a replacement for my broke dvd drive on XBOXv.1

Is this possible? I hope this works, but it's looks too easy to be true. This would be great for me since I don't want to spend more for a ps3 since the a Blu-ray drive is cheaper.

^^ doubt it would work as anything than a dvd if it worked at all because the xbox system wouldn't run the software drivers.

You are talking 2 very different layers of the technology. Besides, last i remember, there were only a handful of drives that worked with the original xbox, even if you get hte bluray drive to work in it, it will only work as a dvd drive
