Roaming CEL

Hey guy's, every once in a while i get a Random CEL
its turns on, but nothing really happens. once in a while it will sound like my fan is running a bit harder, but my car's temp is perfectly fine?
the car drives fine, no other lights come on and it just turns on and off whenever it wants..

any ideas what could be the problem?

Your soft code might be an O2 sensor. Try pulling the code to see what it is.

Is pulling a code on a BMW like doing it with a nissan? cause i've checked ECU codes on 240's lol..

Depends on the year, older E36/E32's you can get the code without a scan tool.

You should be able to read the OBD code with any OBD scanner.

Yes any normal OBD II scanner will work, I believe Auto Value will check the code for you for free.
