Changing cell phone plans?

just wondering if they charge you if you downgrade your plan? i have a couples plan but the second phone is hardly ever used just wondering if i change the plan will they charge me a fee? i think i have a year left on the contract

Most cell phone providers allow 1 or 2 changes per year at no cost. I know there is an exception for some data plans. Call the service provider for the specifics.

im pretty sure you won't but don't quote me.

but from my personal experience if i add on data i have to keep it for at least a month before i can remove it.
