For months I went back and forth with the insurance company over values for all that was lost and finally ended up with an acceptable value (I would have NEVER sold my Z for what they gave me). I searched long and hard for another Z to build but I was too picky and none of them were right to replace mine. I would still like to build another someday but for now it's just not the time.

Well I'm proud to say that I am still a huge car enthusiast and I'm starting to rebuild my collection. On to the good stuff!

My '00 F-250 PSD, it runs on SVO and to keep true to my "No Autotragic Transmission Policy" it is a 6-speed manual. It is a 2WD and I plan to lower it and install the necessary big wheels (just some nice polished 20's). Other than that it will remain stock and reliable.

This next car is very special and actually means more to me than my 300ZX TT. It is a 2000 Civic Si that belonged to a very good friend of mine who died of Leukemia. He passed away less than 20 hours after the fire, need I say that that was the worst weekend of my life? He modded the car very carefully, mainly suspension and brake upgrades along with Sparco seats and 5-points. The exhaust is nice and quiet.

My late friend Josh is the one on the right.

The car was stolen from me a few months ago. If I ever catch the guys who took it we'll both be sorry. The car was recovered back in late May and I have since started to de-RICE it (the thief was using it as his personal car and 'modded' the crap out of it with cheap, distasteful parts) and restore it to it's former glory.

So far I've added the wheels and cleaned the car of it's 'graphics'. There is still a lot of work to do.

Next I finally replaced the nasty chrome wheels on my Viper with a set of forged 18" BBS mesh wheels. These are from a GTS ACR and are very hard to find. I bought them with the intent to resell for some quick cash but after installing them on the car to take pics I quickly changed my mind.

Champcars have dropped a lot in price now that they're done. It's a great bargain for lapping day guys who want a dedicated racecar. You can find a rolling chassis for $15-20k easy.

Thanks for the replies guys. I am still grinning like an idiot over the Champ Car (technically a CART/FEDEX car since it's a 1999). It belonged to Newman/Haas and was raced during the 1999 season. The drivers for NH Racing that year were Michael Andretti and Christian Fittipaldi. The car won a race that year, Gateway Motor Speedway if it was Michael's or Road America if it was Christian's. Michal finished 5th in the championship that year and Christian finished 7th, it was a competitive car. I'm still trying to find out more details and narrow down the history.

The cop was pretty cool about it, I was only on the street in my neighborhood and there's no engine in it.

I plan to use either a fully built VG (I still love Z's) or design/build a custom R1 V8. We'll see what happens.

The car came with EVERYTHING except an engine/brake calipers and shocks. The Hewland 6-speed sequential is there, all gears work including reverse! That gearbox is worth a fortune by itself let alone the rest of the car. It also came with a trailer. I got a hell of a deal.

I am not a professional driver.
