tried to look up how to install this shit properly for like 5 hours then went out and tried but didn't have the best time. Just wondering if anyone has one..or knows exactly how to install..also with a boost guage. pics would be nice

Whats giving you problems..?You just need power/ground for the unit, then the wires from it to the solenoid valve, and then a vac line to each.

This is my Type S, the solenoid is the little box with the wires coming out of it

okayy makes sense..this is what i tried..correct me if im wrong..
i connected the IN hose from the solenoid to my turbo..then the OUT from the solenoid to my wastegate and plugged the port of the wastegate actuator...for my guage it plugged it to the unused nipple on the back of the manifold ..then ran it all the way up. I can hear a leak right at the guage tho.

The valve has 3 ports, NC, NO and COM. You can download the pdf manual from greddy, and it even shows pics, for different set ups to suit your car.

Make sure you use the ports for the internal wastegate setup and leave the unused solenoid port open.

okayy i figured shitt out. everyTING is guud. My boost guage was kinda funny though...it seemed to be reading accurately at first..but by the end of my drive once i lowered the boost to nothing it still read around 14-15psi...is this normal..or should i drop right away

You can't lower the boost below stock. Stock should be about 7psi or something a little higher.

The wastegate spring will allow about 7 psi so with your boost controller off you should not be able to boost any more than 6 - 8 psi depending on the accuracy of your boost gauge. Is it a decent gauge or an autometer POS.

Does your greddy have an 'off' mode or are you turning the duty cycle to zero?

it has an off mode..i dont think its the EBC cause when i turn that on i can hear the solenoid working(clicking noise). And once i turn my eBC off( no more clicking) ..the boost guage still reads like 14. It must be the guage..im looking into some other ones right now. I kinda want it electrical.

Does the gauge pointer sit at zero with the car off? Also what vacuum does it read at idle?
