We've all read Car & Driver, Road & Track, etc where they take new cars out to a "secret location" for some on road testing...usually somewhere out in the hills/mountains in California.

What about around Calgary?

What's everyone's favorite driving road's that are fun to drive?

I've made a thread for this before and there were lots of suggestions. Check it out.

An even older thread was once made...

That looks fun! Highway 40 all the way from the Transcanada to Longview is an excellent stretch of road.

Just make sure to drop by the Route 40 Soup company in Turner Valley on the way back. They've got some killer soup and sandwiches!

Old Banff Coach - sweet downhill or uphill, lots of fun corners, definitely my favourite
bearspaw road - leads to the calgary NW soccer centre, pretty straight but really open and smooth, great for ripping
22X from Priddis to Bragg Creek - pretty fun/fast

Mt Norquay in Banff. Hahaha. Understeer and you go off the mountain.

Now that is a fun drive, especially if you're going uphill, leave your car in 2nd gear, covers the entire RPM range.

Lake Minnewanka Loop is fun, especially the section they only open up in the summer. I've fried a wheel bearing there, so many turns and elevation changes, it's really a blast. Every corner is a blind one so know the road before you take it at speed.

762 from Bragg to Millarville and highway 66 right through to the end.

Hwy 1A, just past Banff (westbound on Hwy 1), it's called "Bow Valley Parkway" I believe. Lots of twisty bits, but the posted limit is REALLY low, so watch your speed. It spits you out at Rocky Mountain Junction, or if you go a little further, Lake Louise.
