Anyone see what happened to that truck? I just missed it.

I had a great night... First night out for the year with the Stang....

ET was off (best of 10.3), but hit 144 mph with only 12-13 psi

123mph which is very impressive for how troubled that run looked.

68.8 first and only run @ Autocross.

Wonder if anybody ended up beating me. I know there were a few cars that had close times! ;)

I don't think anyone bettered that (nice run!).

The infield surface got really slippery later, and cones kept getting moved around. I know that downed or moved cones is part of the Secret Street experience, but it seemed worse than normal last night.

damn toma that was one of the nicest runs i have honestly ever seen at RC...your car almost went sideways but you controlled it bt giving the brake and still managed the 10sec

the cool part about it all was for the most part the car just hooked and took off while it was still relatively quiet haha :burnout:

Mr_ET
07-26-2008, 07:56 PM
yeah I was looking at it too and thought that other yellow dedicated drag car with the wheelie bar and drag rear end would eat you up and you just silently destroyed him and ran 140mph:eek:

XES's prelude

We waited around all night hoping that there weren't any major engine problems just to see him run again.

he tried restarting it after he got back in the pits and it just popped its head gasket so he had to get it towed.

no 3 spark plug had a melted electrode and one of the catch can lines had seen so much pressure it popped off the back of the block during his run so there was oil on the valve cover and intake manifold.

With the amount of smoke coming out of it on his way back I think one of the cylinder walls won`t be looking too great:cry:

The datalog on the run showed me exactly why the problem occured...
RAN OUT OF FUEL...faaaak (therefore went lean). I made 36psi instead of 32psi so the injectors were at 100% instead of 85-88%. So even if the fuel pumps held their ground (up to 850-900whp) i ran out of injectors even with the 1600cc/min ones. Looks like that was closer to 850whp at the track which couldnt be sustained with the current fuel setup. Hence the motor damage.

My motor stopped working at the end of 3rd so i ended up just coasting through the line with limited/no throttle in 4th...so 123mph wasn't bad for such a junky run.

I will post my 780whp dyno chart and video soon. :)

I think I can break 10's the way it is if i can master my launch and shifts. Maybe mid 10's with slicks. When I'm launching at 8000-8500 I don't need launch control. I hit full boost almost instantly and am already spinning all four tires off the line.

Might have some dyno numbers next week. It is a Greddy T-88 set up.
