I need to buy some accessories for my mountain bike;: fenders, gear bag, pump, etc.

Is it better to buy that stuff online or go to MEC or Bow Cycle? I'm kind of a noob so I don't know what the mark-up is on this kind of stuff if i buy locally vs online.

Thanks

I shop at www.pricepoint.com and www.wheelworld.com

Both are great and ship fast. You will save 50% on average.

If you need it sooner, check bow and the bike shop, they have some pretty good sales from time to time.

Fenders? :thumbsdow Unless it's a commute bike I guess, and you're trying to keep road spray off of you.

I wouldn't mind finding some padded shorts but not those super tight black ones. Anyone know a good brand and a store I can pick some up at?

I wear Troy Lee padded MTB shorts.

I buy mine from Calgary Cycle.

Try the two websites I listed. If you want to try some on try bow or the bikeshop. They will be cheaper online though.

edit: to answer your question, I wear Fox and love them.
