Well I'm finally planning to get turbo, and i've been doing a bit of research.

After asking around I've gotten mixed answers, so I thought I'd ask here and see what your opinions are.

The question I have is do you actually have to upgrade the components in your vehicle to run turbos or not? (ie: suspension, clutch, headers, etc)

Some people said yes or your car will crap out very quickly, others say no, your car will be fine and still others say you don't actually have to, but it's recommended to if you want to get the most out of your turbo.

What do you guys think (and i'm actually asking this as a non car specific thing, because me two other people I know want to install turbos on different cars)

depending on your car, and how the stock stuff is already, youll need to upgrade the following

-clutch most likely, more power means you may exceed the strength of the stock unit

-radiator, its a good idea, more power is more heat

-fuel pump, very good idea here, injectors and tune as well

-exhaust, you dont want to blow thru a small exhaust if thats whats on there, i would say for turbo, 2 1/2" MINIMUM, i would reccomend 3"

thats all i can think of at the moment, its all veichle dependant.

brakes are a good idea too, going faster means need to stop faster.
