Timing belt is different afaik. Water pump as well, but gen2 is usable on gen3.

Let me quote what I just wrote you on your other post

I believe that there is a tooth count difference on the Gen3 engines vs the Gen2 engines for the timing belt.

Water pump might fit, never looked into it.

Look at the engine, if the oil filter is up top, its most likely a gen2, if its down below its a gen3.

You should probably hit the books on this car before you jump into things. Or you'll be buying a BEAMS or Gen4 engine next week.

i already bought the car and the head gasket blew on me.. so i thought it would be a good time to upgrade the motor.

a 94 jdm gen3 motor is not a straight swap into a gen2 chassis.
i suggest you read up lots before attempt this swap

also, the gen2 water pump will fit a gen3 motor

the timing belt will NOT fit, as the tooth count is different

the timing belt will NOT fit, as the tooth count is different wat needs to be done 2 swap in the genIII? i was told by jdm imports that it will work with no mods.
