Home come that doesn't transfer to the guys holding him? I know an electric fence will bypass you all together if you touch someone first.

I'm guessing because the barbs that embed in the skin cause the current to go through the body, instead of passing over the skin?

From one barb to the other. So if they're really far apart, like one in your shoulder and another in your ass it's worse than if they are close together.
