U of C Cash Office Bends me over

Hey guys,
Short story: Haven't attended U of C since Fall 2006 and just last week received a letter in the mail for delinquent notice stating I owe 2 grand from Winter 2008 semester? Just wondering if any else has had similar shitty situations with the U of C and what to expect in terms of this situation being dealt with on their end.

What do you owe the money for?

apparently I was registered for courses, which I wasn't....like I said haven't been there since Fall 06

Did you give your username/password to anyone you know?

If you took these courses, they should should show up on your transcript. If they aren't, I'd talk to someone at the Registrar's Office and setup a meeting with someone in higher power than the advisors taking tickets. Does your Peoplesoft account say you owe money as well?

Check in peoplesoft, that should give you all the information you need on why you are being charged. Have this information before you call and yell at them.
