Subaru WRX questions!!

My friend wants to sell his subaru WRX 2006 for 25k - it's black and really clean. I trust my friend but it's crashed/repaired car(I know where it got repaired and it's trustable also) and it has 30KM. I will list the features of the car, I would appreciate your thought about the deal. It is a modified car, I really really do suck at anything car related, except I like quality in everything(I copied the link from the pieces he added to that car).

Very good sound system (worth 700$+ dunno specs at all)

Maybe I'm a bit rusty on the new lingo for cars, but when a car "has 30KM/hrs", what on earth does that mean?

Does that attribute increase the value of a car? because 25K for a 06 WRX that's been crashed is steep IMHO.

that was me misstyping/being high, it means the car was used 30000KM

I guess I was right thinking it might be overpriced :)

The price seems abit steep for a car that has a rebuilt title.

Also if the deal goes bad, i.e., car breaks down, it may lead to a problems between you and your buddy. Friendships have been broken up for smaller reasons than money.

Depending on the severity of the accident it was in, I would offer low 20's!

Mine is accident free and has nicer mods and I wouldn't take anything less than $25K but that's me.

He only wants to sell it in order to build another crashed/repaired car, an infiniti. I am sure he would help me repair the car if anything went wrong, he is a nice person. The car looks perfect, I've seen him use it for a bit of time and in the first place it was really a car for himself, he's the power car fan.

However I am slightly disappointed to hear you saying it's pricey. So you are suggesting offering him something around 22k-23k?

How bad was the accident you are talking about? +/- $10K damages? Clean title? Of course that would affect the price!!

I did not see the car before the crash. I do want to pay less but I do not think he want to sell for less, that is why :) I'm very thankful to u guys. I think -10k damage, I remember him saying it costed slightly less than that, but I have to ask him again. I'm not sure what you mean by Clean title?

Btw, he said the car has 312HP.

Clean title is a status indicator of the car that shows up in the vehicle's history report. Clean title means it's never been written off/salvaged car, no flood title etc.

If he's a good friend, better get him to explain everything clearly to you. The car's current and past history. It's current mods, whether he has the stock parts etc.

I doubt he can sell the car for $25K to anyone else so he will come down in his price.

well the mods are those I described here (the links), I am pretty sure he has checked the title by himself when he bought the car. I think he has a better turbo too not sure if it was posted in that link.
