Are you kidding? there's a Fitzone in Douglas Glen, aswell as another right next to the Tim Hortons there. Golds on 130th, Goodlife in Mckenzie Towne, Shawnessy YMCA and a club in midnapore across from the Little Ceasars.

If you're willing to take a 10 minute trip you can also hit the WHC right next to anderson or the Goodlife in Canyon Meadows.

that all depends on what you want to do at the gym. if paying cheap rates so that you can go mon-fri night and sit your ass on a treadmill/elliptical and watch the embedded tv's then the YMCA is for you. You also have to enjoy ridiculously over crowded floor space accompanied with waiting long amounts of time for machines. (think I vent much about how much I hate that place and am waiting to switch memberships?)

but if you are more serious/lift weights i'd probably suggest Gold's and if its the shorter trip you want, then the Good Life facility looked nice when I went in on a quick tour with my friend. :P

True enough! I guess I should stay on topic:

If you are looking for a gym, I wouldnt go much further than Gold's on 130th, I am a former Goodlife member for years even before when it was Gold's! The new Gold's is not the best, but by far the best we have around in the SE. I would not pay their herendous fees though, go there tell them you have friends here already and you know what they pay. (I pay $40/month) You will sign up if they can give you that rate! Tell them they can forget the $150ish initiation fee. You will have to pay first and last months fee's though, walk in there spend $80 and leave with a membership.

My thought's

Just finished up a week trial at that Good Life - if you're looking for free weights, that Good Life isn't for you - tons of machines, tons of cardio, but a tiny free weight section, in my opinion.

Where is the goodlife in Mckenzie town? Is it on the main strip where blockbuster and shiz is?

AFI is a great mom and pops place to work out not as big and busy as Golds if thats what you like. The best part about it is the court that you can use for basketball, vollyball, badminton etc.

Im selling my membership that cost $30 a month that ends in Oct and can be renewed for that price also if your interested. If not im ending my contract then because work built us a gym in the basement so i don't need this AFI Fitzone anymore.

I go to fitzone and I love it... It's pretty small but its never busy, so you never really have to wait for anything... they give you 3 free days so you should go check it out
