im looking to order a part from the US from a member on Prelude Online. the value of the part is 750 and it will be in a large box (its an exhaust system). i was wondering if any of you have any experience shipping that across the border? who to ship with? and about how much it would cost?

thanks.

Try USPS. Or even shipping to the border at Sweetgrass MT. Then you can clear it yourself. It might end up being cheaper that way.

UPS rates are really high.

UPS rates are the same, they just charge an extra brokerage fee which, on top of the original fee, is a lot more than what USPS would charge. Plus USPS changes over to Canada Post once it hits the border whcih I like more than having UPS handle it the whole way to my door.

Also, if shipping car parts across the border you need to accompany them with the correct documents or they'll be returned with no notice. I called CMS wondering why my tires hadn't arrived yet and the guy told me it was because he had them at his desk.
