View Full Version : Where to recycle the old battery and used oil?

Is there any place to recycle the dead auto battery and used oil in calgary? How much will they charge? Thanks.

canadian tire recycles old car batts, possibly oil too.. i just drop mine off at mr lube..

Stuff them into a TV or microwave box. Tape the box back up. "Accidentally" leave it in a cart at a mall parking lot. It'll be gone in no time.

you can take used oil to certain fire stations around Calgary for recycling. Not sure if they take batteries too but it would be worth checking out.

Yea fire stations take most of that stuff, and can tell you where to take the rest of it. The city knows that people will just throw that stuff in the garbage if they dont make it easy so theres lots of options.

Canadian Tire gives you 10 bucks off the price of a new one if you recycle your old one there, don't they?

CT for the battery. And there's a few fire stations that will take the oil.

I drop my oil at Canadian tire. They never have a problem taking it. Batteries too.
