Its a rubber kind of compound and it was on both locks.

Anyone had that happen to them before?

What is the best way to get that crap out the lock?

I wouldn't say it's a breakin... more likely someone being a douchebag towards you. That's going to be a PITA getting it out of the lock.

Looks like silicone caulking. You could scrape it off, damage the paint, or put on a chemical which would also damage the paint, but would be good to get the shit off the lock.

Does it not come off easily? Try to put some water before scraping it off maybe? Is it weird it reminds me of a half cut condom? lol

Somebody doesn't like you.
Take the door apart and remove the lock, see if you can take it apart and clean it.

I know eh? Everyone knows when they grow up that 5 minute epoxy or JB Weld is better for a lock :D

Try removing the interior door panel. Unbolting the handle then, push out on it. It should break the bond from the door. Then just pull the chunk off the handle. Only problem is, it may pull the paint with it.

Or, you could mask off the surrounding area and take a palm sander to it or something. Then polish the area back up to shine. You can take a dremel to the glue in the lock area, if none of the glue actually went into the keyhole.

Got if off.

I heated it up a little with a heat gun and it came off in one piece.

Thanks for the advice though.

:werd: what I would had guessed.

Maybe you weren't the only one, maybe the kids (or adults) bought a tube of silicon and decided to have some fun that night.

Glad you got that off without problems.
