So for the first time since bought my 40D i went out to try and take pictures (the usual played out misty/milk water picture), i had major issues with it being too bright or too dark, maybe some tips from you gurus?
the pics also seem to lose detail when hosted through photobucket, anyone know a better site for upload that doesn't kill my original pic? :dunno:
these pics, they're too dark IMO, but i have no idea about photography anything.

this was about 2 pm overcastish, would shooting at dusk on a clear day make better lighting conditions? any criticism/tips are encouraged :thumbsup:
I just have a 17-58mm lens to start out with.
