There is a place just off Edmonton trail called "Macs" I believe. It's on the other side from the 32nd connector. I had an alternator rebuilt there a few years ago and it worked great.

I think Rhys paid around 180$ for a full rebuilt one. Ask him.

Got mine done at Canadian Alternators and Starter, don't know how reputable they are, I just looked them up on the yellowpages and bought it there. They have a bunch of alternators already rebuilt and if you have the same one, they will just give you the rebuilt one and take your old alternator. They didnt have my alternator when I brought mine in, but it only took them till noon the next day when I droped it off at 3 in the afternoon. I called a few other places and it seems like this is the cheapest. Total cost was $120, and they also offer 1 year warrenty. I Had it done just before last winter and so far no problem.
