as the title says I'm wondering which Honda civic came factory equipped with the 'D15B' engine block in Canada? Not the d15b7 or d15b8..

none did, its most likely a swapped engine in there

Ya it was swapped into an EK but I'm just wondering which oil filter to get when I change the oil

Chances are it's the same filter as the D16.
I've used the same filter in my 2000 Civic (D16Y7), my bro's Integra (B18A I think) and my mom's 2001 Prelude (H22A)

Honda have used the same oil filter on pretty much all the D, H, F and B series. So pick a civic between 86 and 2005 and get the oil filter for it. 83 and up Prelude, 84 and up Accord, etc... I think even the K series uses the same filter.

All Civics use the same filter.
