I've got a 21" CRT sitting around, it is a nice Sony Trinitron tube branded as Dell P1110. The case and glass are in great shape. They go for $50 to $100 on eBay, plus shipping! Yours free if you come haul it out of my living room (it's 70lbs) as I can't handle the CRT radiation tan anymore and have gone all LCD.
The color and contrast are good, it does have a slight problem though... Every few days or hours (seems very random) the picture will slowly go fuzzier and fuzzier, you'll think your eyes are going bad. Minutes later it goes *click* and the picture is back to perfect. No idea wtf is up, some kind of static buildup on the mask? Maybe you know how to fix it...
