I just saw in the flyer that Partsource is selling Pennzoil Octane Booster. Does anyone know if this product is any good? How many octanes does this increase?

Thanx

not enough...go fill up at Mohak 94 if you want higher octane...this stuff only bumps it up a couple points...not really worth your time/money

I heard it takes about 4 bottles of octane booster in a tank of gas to make a difference, not very cost effective...like Ben said Mohawk in the SE just off Glenmore 94 Octane:D

yeah like everyone said, octane booster is a scam and a waste of money. And come on, it's Penzoil...

If you use run octain booster in every tank. When your car runs regular, you may speed up the wear on your rings, due to high heat. As for the penzoil boosters, they suck, just go with the 94 octaine gas at the pumps.

was gonna say the same thing, the NoS octance booster is pretty good as far as octane boosters themselves go, now if ur eally go at it go to mohawk, then octance booster haha, sad thing is we still dont even get close enough to what some cars need to run, the K20A1 (RSX-R) only goes on like 101 octance...

it's my understanding that the octane ratings in japan are based on a different formula than here in north america. their 101 octane would be equivalent to ~94/95 octane over here. anyone confirm this?
