What is the word/phrase used to describe the practice of creating and maintaining a good network of professional and friendship contacts.

I think it sounds like guang shi ????

Its a neat concept. It isn't simply about making friends just to get something - its a lot more complex.

in cantonese is "yan si kwan hai"

"yan si" means interpersonal
"kwan hai" means relation(ship)
