you're probably not going to save much money buying abroad when you start to swap $1500 Clusters.

Buy from the east coast and ship it on a train.

Yeah .. they are all around there .. ~ $1500 + $400-500 labour ..

So .. will be $2K to do it ..

Unless you are buying a car from US, with digital cluster .. otherwise, you expect to spend at least $2K to convert to km/hr .. and most 07 and up cars .. you have to do it .. :dunno:

With exchange rate 1.085 now to buy US$ .. and so many EXTRA FEE you need to spend to convert the car .. not really worth to buy from US in order to save just $2 or 3G .. unless you are buying some US spec cars thought independant brokers, at least, they get a deal for brokage fee, shipping etc .. and they do 10 or 20 cars each time .. :)

Thanks for the replies, guys!

I'm dealing with nbaker00 at South Deerfoot Suzuki and they've been really great with keeping me updated with things. They did mention to me that if i were to convert the instrument cluster to km/h, that it wouldn't be worth getting an FX from the states.

The reason why i want to get one from the states is because of the larger variety i can choose from as opposed to locating a canadian FX...which i'm finding out as in very limited quantity to choose from.

Good luck with that! I tried to that particular hook-up when I was looking for the differential from a 6mt 350/g35......my hooked-up price was $1,800. :nut:

someone from infinitifx.org had showed me this website: http://www.kelownainstruments.com/

it's a company in kelowna that can convert the gauges' units of measure. this may be way cheaper than getting a brand new instrument cluster.

edit: does anyone know if there's a company in calgary that provides the same service? thanks!
