Is there a big difference with Cables when it comes to gold plated, Monster, Preimium?

Im looking at getting component cables and was stuck between these 2.

monster is the EXACT same cable you can buy from best buy for 20 bucks only difference is that they have the name monster on it so i guess they can charge you 4x as much for it.....

yea.. don't buy monster, it's a total rip off. you're buying the name, that's about it.

Your other thread already has plenty of people dissing Monster's overpriced shit. Between the two you linked;

- twice as long (25ft vs 12ft)
- thicker coax (RG6 vs RG59)
- better connectors (cheap rubber jobbies vs. crimp+case)

For the price, I'd bust out $30 for the nice ones if you really need them that long :D Chances of anyone actually seeing the difference between the two: slim/none.

digital is digital, it either works or it doesn't, the cables will not degrade the quality, the only time you'll see a quality drop is over very long distances 50'+

Not true, Monster uses a higher quality cable producing less signal degradation. Problem is it's only relevant in longer cables (over 25 feet or so) because you could pass a signal down a twist tie at short ranges and not lose anything.
