Mountain Bike deals?

Anyone know of sales going on for MTB? I am looking for one and since it's already mid Aug there should be some deals. I haven't owned a bike in 20 years! Want to get a decent MTB and ride with friends etc. Looking to spend between $600-$1500.
At first will do easy paths, but will like to do some off roads, minor drops etc.

Gal I know told me to check one shop in Cochrane. I assume Sport Swap dont have much left at this point. Bike Shop and Bow are the normal choices.

i just bought a pretty good mountian bike at b&p cycle.it was on sale from 1200 to 699. most of their bikes are on sale right now. you should check it out

Everyone should be clearing out their bikes at this point, it's very late in the season and they don't want to be sitting on the stock all winter. I don't know about mtn bikes, but I know The Bike Shop is selling all road bikes for 25% off.

pinkbike.com has some good classified ads if you are interested in getting a decent bike for less. JUst throwin' it out there.
