I'm thinking about buy a LCD TV and came across this...

I like the concept. But seems like its still new so theres not alot of models up yet, such as my sony kdfe50a10.

Its tough to use something like that to gauge your setup, it depends mostly on the source used. I use the GretagMacbeth i1Pro to calibrate my tv's for HD cable, which is completely different than our Bluray player settings. Who knows what these are based on.
Either way its a head start for most people who use out of the box settings.
