Yes, but make sure you are not using EDGE by accident. Best way is to download bossprefs from installer and disable edge completely.

Okay, thank you. I'm also curious about 'unlocking' where can I get this done? I'm a complete newbie one it comes to phones and could use all the information possible.

Yep, wifi is free. From my understanding the iphone prioritizes it's connections so it will first try wifi, then 3g, then edge.

And with the unlocks, haven't heard of any public methods of doing it yet. If an unlock is made public im sure it will be all over sites such as engadget, gizmodo and tuaw.

Hey, I disabled edge and 3G in bossprefs, however when connected to my wifi the internet doesn't even work on there? the network is perfectly fine, an excellent connection. When i turn edge on, it seems to work?

It might be how you did it. I just got an iPhone and I called Rogers to make sure that both 3G and Edge were disabled, and it is, and my wifi works fine.

I downloaded the bossprefs application, i unlocked my phone though. Maybe i'll try calling them and have them block my data for me. Thanks!
