my friend is working on a project with me helping, and he needs to find the best price on a lexus 1UZFE engine, hopefully with a tranny, but if not, oh well, weve got that one covered.

nah, looking for a good strong engine in the 300 hp N/A range... apparently if you do some work (headers, dual 2.5" exhaust, cold air intake) to the 1uz it stays silky smooth but pukes out bucket loads of power.

2jz are great engines tho

I'm looking for a 2JZ-GTE, and would have been perfect if you nabbed my GE. Why not go for a 3UZFE? Good luck on your project...if you do manage to pick up a 1UZ, let me know since I my hit up your contact for a 2JZ-GTE if he can get one for a good price.

lol, finding a 1uz is proving tough enough, and its been in production since 89.

the 3uz would be nice, but i highly doubt my friend is willing to sink 6-10 k into buying just the engine, when 1uzs can be had for like 1000 us$. :)
just not sure about ebaying for an engine, ya know what i mean.
