I've been with Meloche Monnex as long as I've had a vehicle. They do my home and auto insurance and they are pretty good with group / company / professional rates.

meloche is good but you have to be alumni or part of an organization (aset, etc.)

PM Masked Bandit or PM me and I can give you his contact info, he is a really good broker

I'm with Morgex and they were the cheapest quote with more options. The next cheapest was TD at $300/yr more. I am an AUPE member, so that probably has a bit to do with it, but even then my sister called and they were about $200/yr cheaper than what she was getting at TD.

i go through all state. if you have home/rent insurance and other cars, it very beneficial. i pay just over 200/month for 3 cars and house insurance. you get discounts with the more you add to the policy.

Try RBC. It's $100 cheaper than TD Meloche Monnex and AMA to me. Use their online quote and you'll save an additional 5%. ING sucks but you can get Aeroplan miles. ;)

What kind of memberships do you need?

I'm with TD, and when I called for a quote on different vehicles, they also got me Melloche quotes at the same time, and told me to switch over my current car, would be cheaper with Melloche as well (which I need to call and do).

I'm assuming this is because I'm a SAIT alumni?

Yes, the APEGGA or ASET deals are better though. I went through my ASET deal and was given a better quote by a couple hundred dollars over my SAIT alumni quote.

The APEGGA deal is sweet. I was quoted anywhere from $2200 to $5000 for my car otherwise.

Through Meloche it's $980.00.

Yea, I googled it. I'm thinking of joining ASET. I'm also thinking I'm going to try and get my work to pay the fees

I regret not joining when I was a student. I could of saved so much in insurance for a year haha.
