I'll probably get flamed for this but oh well.

Looking for something in the evenings, don't really have a preference as long as it isn't delivery driver/fast food/call centre stuff

Most places look at my resume and say I'm either over qualified or pass since they think I'll get bored. Doesn't seem to matter to them that I'm looking for PT Evening not a career thing and want to make extra money.

I checked the normal job posting boards but couldn't really find anything.

Hours I'm looking at would be somewhere between 5-11 Mon-Thur and every second weekend or so.

Yep that's it

anywhere really. I live in the NE work DT during the day (take transit to and from work)

start time would all depend on location, I'm off at 4 but I can change my hours easily

go to DHL, you can get a three or four hour shift unloading trucks, good extra cash and you finish the shift around 9 or so. I did that a couple of years ago and it worked well.

Try hitting up pubs and bars near you or even Earl's type places with lounges, might be a spot for an earlier shift / or split with the places that are open through 3AM

Same situation as you, I learned about Symcor Proof Operators through threads on Beyond...been working there about 5 months now...12.50 and hour plus bonus incentives (it's HARD to get the bonus though), 3-4 shifts per week (M-F), 8pm-11pm....go on their website to apply or go down and hand in application to Security. They have an office in the NE but I'm not sure where. Easy jobs and there's quite a few sexy University aged Asian girls to look at....

I wish I still worked there. The NE one doesn't have any university chicks working there, it's all old ppl and the work is not as easy.

i'm pretty competitive by nature so that helped a bit, I was making way more with bonus then i was with normal wage

i would have to go with the pub route like someone else mentioned. i know a few people that do it on the weekends along with there full time job during the week. can still go snowboarding and stuff on the weekends in the winter and what not.

either that or find something that you can do from home? for school i have some part time work that i go to the office on the weekends then during the week have stuff to do from home

adam c

I work at canada post my shifts are 6-11 mon-thurs and 7-3 or 3-11 sundays (sunday shifts rotate every 12 weeks).

There hiring casuals to work christmas season its pretty much just evenings and weekends however you can refuse to work if you don't wanna work for that certain day they call you. Usually christmas season is the busiet so if you do get hired you'll most likely be called everyday to work from November to January. Starting wage is $21.

If you could cover around 15-20 hours a week you could also try a PT position at a place like Best Buy/Futureshop.

I had a coworker (an engineer) w/ a part time position at best buy for close to a year, he enjoyed the electronics discount. Bought himself a big TV and a bunch of other shit before he left.

I work in a casino, night shifts usually range from 4 til midnight, or 7pm til 3am. Not sure if your daytime schedule allows for such a late shift, but the money isnt bad for a PT job (I'm doing it while in school). We were hiring a few people from the last i heard.

How much is the pay? Do you have just weekend shifts? also what do you do?

Bump again. Don't mean to thread jack. I too am looking for a part time job in the evenings. I am in post secondary, and am willing to do almost anything besides fast food. Any leads or openings, please PM me. ;)

Symcor is probably your best bet, hard to get into tho, as they only train like 4-6 people at a time, and the training is like 2-3 weeks if i remember correctly, so in that time span they don't hiring anybody... i've referred a bunch of people and none of them have gotten in yet... and some applied in like may...

But other than that its great to work at symcor
Starting wage is 11.50, you get a evening premium of .69, but it just went up recently, but not sure to what, i think its actually 1.25 now, on top of that after you meet the quota of 1800 cheques (it went up also) you get a premium, i've been there for a year now, i do 2600 cheques an hour, its very achievable, and yea there is quite a bit of eye candy.. and like 80% asian people working there
