some of you seen my car at the beyond cruise to banff, some seen it at the "OG callout" night at chinook mall wed night.

but the car is gone.

came out of the body shop a week before the banff cruise, and less than a month later its totalled beyond repair.

major frame damage (unibody)

story: going south on deerfoot, took anderson and came up to the first set of lights (red light cam) and the light turned yellow so i stopped for the intersection only to see a white accord (92) careening toward me with no time to put in a low gear and spool for a launch i was charged hard from behind.

the driver had 2 other lanes with no cars plus a 2 lane wide left turn lane to use and escape lanes, had lots of braking room and decided instead to hit me dead center.

little to no damage to the accord, bit worse for my car.

as of right now: car has been torn apart of almost everything bolted to it and the parts i cannot sell or give away i will toss in the garbage.

it was picked up today by dirty dave and taken for scrap metal.
he managed to squash a jack stand for me while he was hoisting the car onto the tow truck.

the car was torn apart in only 2 days.

insurance treated me very well, as they should have, considering i just spent over 2200$ in body work less than a month before the accident.

but i have a new crx already, picked up from the vancouver area, but this crx will be a bit more mildly modded, its so factory clean i dont wanna mess it up.

Did you get it freshly painted before the accident? If you dont mind me asking, can i find out where? The paint looked really clean.

I work in road construction and some 90 yr old lady drove past at least 3 "road closed" signs, 3 barriers, a ton of cones, and just about drove into our open excavation. Like how much more warning do you need?

if you were eyeing up that uncracked climate control you can forget it!

wheels are also in use.
the only thing that will likely be comming off and for sale next summer would be the hood bumper and headlights

Up until the tow truck came to haul the old shell away, I still had a hard time believing that car was gone.

Did have a hell of a good time driving out to B.C. to pick up the new one. Vancouver was a shithole, though.
