First of all, I'd like to thank the talented Shawnay Townsend (www.shawnaytownsend.carbonmade.com) for the photos. (Note: these are the first car shots she's ever done). She did these for free on her own time, so if you're ever needing a photographer in Victoria, please look her up!

This photoshoot wasn't for me (although I do enjoy the pictures) but rather for all the vendors who have been so helpful to me over the last year and a half putting it all together. I'm sure I'll forget a couple, but here's the list of all the guys and gals I want to thank (in no specific order):

Tunerworks
Method Acoustics
PelicanParts.com
Bavtoys.com
Edmonton BMW
Turner Motorsports
Redlinegoods.com
Bimmerworld.com
Bimmer-parts.ca
Alberta Motorworks
Abrahammotorsport.com
The Tire Warehouse
The Edmonton BMW community
Beyond.ca
Bimmerforums.com

Each and every company has helped me out immensely and this is my appreciation for all of them. I've negotiated with the photographer, and I have the web-publication rights for all these photos. Any vendor wishing to publish these pictures online for promotional purposes is free to do so, but they must include a photo credit to Miss Townsend. Please e-mail me ([email protected]) for high-resolution copies. Print rights are retained by the photographer and we can arrange a release for those interested. I have about 70 shots (these are but a few) so if you want something specific please let me know!

Without further ado:

The audio system is the big one on this car. Weeks of work went into it, and it was just ready for DTP Edmonton. Some forum members will recognize it from there, but it's been refined a bit since.

The whole idea was to have a custom system that was hidden and still left the trunk 100% usable. This was the result.

All the panels are moulded to the trunk, and the original trunk liner is still in place. My spare tire is still in there and accessible. All the panels pop out in a specific order.

When the panels are removed, the Focal Power 1.800 and 4.75 amps are visible, and a quick pull reveals the Focal 27V2 subwoofer in a perfectly moulded fibreglass box.

The deck in the dash mates with the (hidden) iPod and connects to the Alpine digital processor in the center console. The main processor brain and the crossovers are hidden in the side panels in the trunk, along with the power distribution.

We also completely overhauled the suspension. Everything is new, right down to every nut, bolt, and washer. H&R Touring Cup Kit was my choice after Rob at Tunerworks suggested it, and I can't describe it anything other than "perfect". The ride height is comfortably low, but absolutely no comfort is sacrificed.

While a lot of the suspension work was OE items, we also replaced all the bushings with Powerflex Urethane, added adjustable lower rear control arms, and Ground Control rear shock mounts. The differential was swapped for a limited slip from a 1995 M3.

It would of looked alot better if you were driving. Hard to believe these pics were taken from a professional photographer. It looks like a "point and shoot" camera that anyone can take...Sorry but it doesn't look like it's taken from a pro photographer.

Nice pics and nice car...Very clean

The remaining tidbits were just gravy after that: new floormats, the beautiful matching leather for the shift boot, e-brake boot, and armrest, the ZHP shift knob, and a B&M short shift kit. The armrest console itself is not the one that came with the car, and it took me almost 2 days of careful work to clean and re-dye (not paint!) the vinyl to match the rest of the interior.

I recommend the shifter/ZHP knob combo to any E36 owner, as it greatly improved the shift with minimal effort.

Also added were projector headlights and fogs from DEPO, with 6000K HID's hiding behind both.

Thanks for reading everybody!

Well, the price was right :) She had not done a car shoot before, and thus I didn't expect perfect shots. There are some better ones on the disc she gave me clarity-wise, but I went for the shots that showed off the gear the best.

Sorry....you paid MONEY for those shots? I have no training and I'd kill those with my Xti and $100 50mm lens...

Nice clean car though :)

EDIT: Just re-read that the shoot was free...phewf!

EDIT 2: Saw her site, she should stick to people, lol, she's great at those shots!

The "second deck" is the console for the processor (31 band eq/channel + 5 parametric, time alignment, etc).

Sorry but these pictures don't do anything at all for me. They come off as a for sale ad type shots.

Drive out to Calgary and I'll redo a set of shots for you so you can go out and be advertising for me haha =P

You should probably edit your post and make it clear that this was her first car shoot, a lot of peeps just skim through threads. I'm not even close to being a photographer and even i think the pictures are really bad. I agree with ZorroAMG that her site pics look good but a lot of people might just assume she has no skills judging from these pics.

Ok, I'll add a caveat.

One of the big problems that we had was the building in the lot had a blue tint to the windows, plus there was a perfectly blue sky that day. All the pictures (hers and mine) turned out with a blue-hue to them. We had to bring them all back to true colour and in the process the quality went down a bit.
