Stay away from 11st and 12ave SW , as well as the 8400 block of Saddleridge Drive for a while.

Don't believe everything you read on Beyond. The last shooting in the SW was actually downtown so it could have been any quadrant really...

NE still takes the cake.

I honestly thought you were a few steps ahead, and consciously made the post trying to mess with people... but i guess i gave you too much credit... hahaha

Nose Hill Park gives you a nice view of the skyline.

Or that elevated neighborhood near Centre St. Bridge (unfamiliar with the name. Sorry!)

What exactly do you want to shoot? That would help...

Along Memorial Drive looking at downtown and the bridges.

Bird Sanctuary if you like bird/duck shots. Glenmore Reservoir if you want even more duck shots. (near Glenmore landing, I've got hundreds of duck shots near the water on that SE side. Some good ones with ducklings too.)

Ducks aside, up by SAIT offers a good view of downtown. But right now the field is being turned into a parkade. I went there for 4 years, and now I can't remember if weekend parking is free.... But the P1 lot is the next best spot for a view if construction is in the way on the soccer field/parkade.

As for macro stuff, I find my backyard to be one of the best places to shoot!

But as 'hung_lo' said, it would help if you told us what you want to shoot!
