Hey, I got a recording package for sale, great for starting out.

Hughes and Kettner Tubeman:

Tube Preamp pedal, you can plug it directly into your power amp, or plug it into the effects out of your amp or just plug it into a mixer, it has included RedBox Speaker simulation. Great for recording and gives great distortion. Description:

Tube Guitar Preamp & Recording Station with Integrated RedBox®

Tubeman® MK II is the professional all-tube tone dynamo to go! It offers three separately adjustable channels, each accessible directly via footswitches, and a 3-band EQ section. We tweaked the third channel specifically for lead sounds and added a unique Voicing knob. This hip feature lets you shape tonal characteristics to dial in the trademark sound of your favorite amp. And as if that wasn’t enough, we’ve also included our acclaimed Red Box® speaker simulation to turn Tubeman into the perfect tube-driven guitar recording station!

* Tube pre-amp with 12AX7 tube
* Master three-band EQ
* Rugged metal housing for use on desk or on the floor

Pretty much an tube amp in a pedal, great tube sounding clean, if you crank it up on the clean and play aggressively, you get some great sounding blues/jazz tones. Amazing lead channel with tons of overdrive, you can get the death metal distortion easily. Great alternative to musicians who have a solid state amp and cannot afford a tube amp, but want the true tube sound, as this does have a 12AX7 tube driving it. Channel changes are quick and free of clicks. Great pedal, here are some reviews from Harmony-Central: http://reviews.harmony-central.com/reviews/Effects /product/Hughes+%26+Kettner/Tubeman+Guitar+Preamp/ 10/1

The great thing about this pedal is actually the recording benefit's it gives. If you're recording and you don't want to mic up your amp, whether because you don't have the equipment or you don't know how to do it, or whatever, you can just run this pedal, use the mixer out and plug it directly into your mixer. With RedBox, you can record with it and get some amazing sounds out of it, takes seconds to set up, great if you need to record a riff quickly.

I'll throw in a M-Audio Fast Track USB interface with this package as well.

If you make music with GarageBand or other software recording programs, the M-Audio Fast Track USB Computer Recording Interface is the easiest way to record your guitar with professional results. Just connect Fast Track to the USB port of your computer and you're ready to rock.

Fast Track USB has a switchable (instrument/line) 1/4" input for instruments like guitar, bass, and keyboards, plus an XLR microphone input for recording vocals or other acoustic sounds.

The included GT Player Express software gives you killer effects and virtual stomp boxes so you don't need any other gear to sound great. GT Player Express also plays standard audio file formats like AAC, MP3, and WAV that let you learn and jam along with your favorite music at variable speeds.

The Hughes and Kettner Tubeman and M-Audio Fast Track USB is $200 OBO. MRSP is over $600 combined!
