Most of the cars at pick n pull are domestic. There are a few imports but it's usually old, or a honda.

So I am just wondering if there is another junkyard in town that I might be more lucky in finding parts for my 2002 Mazda Protege?

We bought a new Protege 5 in 2002. It's probably in a junk yard by now as it was falling apart badly after the warranty expired.

Seriously though you won't see too many 2002 cars in the junkyard that haven't had all the good parts taken because most of them are still running unless it was totalled in a collision.

No, the reason cars are at a junkyard is because they are old or junky, Your car doesn't fit the bill, so you are unlikely to find any like it.

There's a good reason there aren't any newer import cars in junkyards.....

Because the parts are too valuable to be left in a scrap yard, insurance companies sell the remains of write-off's to used part dealers.

You could try searching for the specific part on http://car-part.com but I've had varying amounts of luck doing that.
