Sooo the garbage guys by my house moved a concrete block that we use to separate the garbage area from the parking area.

The problem is that they moved it into my parking stall about 6 to 10 inches.

I went to leave this morning and the concrete block got stuck under my wheel and dented and scratched the body just behind the front wheel.

I have a claim in with the legal department at the city but I have a feeling they might say I didn't do an adequate walk around of my car.

I know they didn't directly damage my car but I feel that they facilitated it.

Damn I am mad

did you take pics?

wouldnt surprise me if they just have someone move it out of the way and claim it didn't happen

Yeah I got pics and it and shows where the block was quite clearly so I have proof. I also got pics of the damage.

I saw them having issues putting the bin back in the spot. They obviously were too stupid to put I back properly so the moved the block to make their job easier.

Must be a new guy as this has never happened before

They ran into the eavestrouph of my old house in Pineridge and it was a huge pain in the ass getting them to replace it even though we witnessed them doing it. Eventually they did pay for the repair it was just a huge pain in the ass dealing with the city trying to get it fixed. Good luck. Judging by the pictures though it doesn't look like that bin is from the city, isn't that a private company?

Maybe if you referred to them as "sanitary engineers", they would be more apt to consider their placement of the concrete..... ;)

Sorry to hear about that man. Hope it works out.

haha thanks for the responses.

If you look at the front of the bin (last picture I think) it says city of calgary on it.

it actually isnt that bad if they put the bin back right as I then have tons of room to the one side and open both doors no problem. I actually do lots of work in there.
