And what can the costs be anticipated as for this?

Thanks

Read your lease agreement. It specifically states here.

9 months into a 60 month lease is gonna be fucking retarded. Maybe she'll think twice before making an impulse purchase decision and signing her life away lol.

Leasebusters helps you transfer to someone else who wants a short lease and cheap. I'm guessing 0 down on a 60 month lease to afford the payments, which also means she's pretty upside down on the car (owe more money than the car's worth). Nobody's gonna take over that lease (interest over 5 years sucks!) unless you give them a lot of cash up front.

Good luck man.

Best she could do is buy the car out right and sell it privatelly. She will be upside down on this by a few thousand $ at least depending on the model.

Maybe she should forget about school since she's obviously dumb. :dunno:

It's probably not even his girls car.
He realized that the sentra was not as cool as he thought

That is simple ..

Since it is a nissan .. so lease payment must be cheap ... say $500 a month, 51 month to go, she just need to pay nissan $25,500 to walk away now. easy.

Why 60 month lease term? never heard that on low end car .. I think their lease are all 24-28month? who on earth needs 60 month lease ?? after 60 month, her nissan will not worth a penny anyway .. :dunno:

Without knowing the car, lease rate, residual, current mileage, hard to say how much she'll get screwed lol

I have a 60 month lease on my Si but the lease rate was 1.5% so payments are $308 and residual at $11800. Right now lease rate is 4.9% and payments are $390 and residual at $10400 . So I'm sure I could get someone to take mine over for example.

Wow, that lease rate is awesome for the Si, is that on $0 down? My 05 costs close to $250 and I'm on 1.9%, 60 months as well. Residual is 8k.

Yeah man. $0 down!! and for a car that's 8 months old, only 6000kms with 24000kms yearly allowance.

All that factors into whether you can get rid of the thing or not. Most dealers will charge $500 doc fee to make the switch and new buyer must be approved so not just anyone can take it over.

did you guys hear that GM isn't goign to offer low rate lease incentives anymore?!

for example my lease is 1.9%, GM will no longer offer that. all new leases will be like 9%

effin crazy!!

on that note, someone lease my truck!

They're losing so much money on their trucks, they need to make up for it in another way.

The new lease rates are way higher than 9% for GM. I was playing around on the website pricing out a Cobalt SS for fun and the lease rate was 19.75% No matter which why you do it the lease payment is basically at or above the finance! :nut:

I must ask if you are caucasian and drive a darker grey 08 SER. There is a fuckin meat stick honky punk that drives his SER like a mad man in common traffic. 17th SW area. I recently saw the same car (color model etc) on the back of a tow truck with fancy front end damage.

This leads me to believe that perhaps the owner of this car (maybe you) drove like a fool, finally crashed and can not afford the car anymore. Therefore passing the situation off as his GF wanting to know only for his own info.

I can very well be wrong.

Regardless, keep in mind that if your girlfriend/you have someone take over the lease. You are responsible for any missed payments for a year after sign over. Especially with Nissan Finance Canada.

When I had my '07 G35x I ended up buying out the lease and selling the car. It was less liability than having some clown use leasebusters and assume my lease. I paid a $500 transfer fee, my remaining lease payments (I think it was 42 or 43  ) and the residual value. Then I just sold it.

that's what i'm thinking of doing
my truck has been for sale since middle of june with ZERO bites...argh

i might have to bite the bullet and see if i can do this
but i don't think the bank would give me a loan to pay off the truck haha

A few options

"Easiest" is find somebody to take over the remaining lease payments. Theres a fee to do this, i believe it costs about $500-$1000

Another option is sell the car... but be aware you are still going to be out some money since the car has depreciated from driving off of the lot. So the money you make by selling it is going to go to the remaining lease payments and the "buy out" after the lease. You'll be out of pocket.

Third, you can pay off all of the lease payments right away and give the car back to the dealership.... probably the worst option. If you're going to do this you might as well goto option 4.

Option 4 - keep the damn car. Make your payments and give it back after you're done and think of it as a lesson learned.
